Attendees of the 2023 B2B Marketing Exchange (#B2BMX) are in for a real treat: Fan-favorite Pam Didner is returning to the keynote stage to share some more nuggets of wisdom — this time all about AI’s impact on B2B marketing.
AI is already being used in virtually all aspects of B2B marketing today — from content creation and campaign structure to audience mapping — and, in many cases, it produces impressive results. However, many marketers have understandable concerns that increasing their reliance on machines will have negative impacts on creativity and the goal of building personal connections with buyers.
During her keynote, Didner will explore some of the current AI applications already in use on the B2B landscape. We caught up with Didner to hear more about her thoughts on AI and her creative process. Check it out below!
B2BMX: You’ve spoken at the #B2BMX event several times. What keeps you coming back?
Pam Didner: OMG. With more than 1,000 B2B marketers in one place, what’s not to come back? Seriously, what I love about #B2BMX is the content; there are so many tracks, from strategic planning down to data analysis to how-tos on platform usage. You name a topic, and #B2BMX has it.
This is one of the few events that are 100% B2B-centric. Recently, the team recognized the importance of sales and marketing alignment; there are many sales tracks for sales professionals, as well.
Come and bring your sales team, too! Otherwise, you miss a significant opportunity to grow and network.
B2BMX: This year’s event theme is “Performance Plus: Embracing Creativity. Elevating Results.” What inspires your creativity?
Didner: Oh, creativity. As a B2B marketing consultant, creativity means coming up with tailored and customized solutions for my clients. As a speaker, creativity means telling a story so my audience can have fun with me while learning something that they can act on immediately after the talk. Finally, as a writer, creativity means having something unique to say.
I need my creative muse, LOL. The best way for me to get my creative juices flowing is to have quiet moments to think. I usually get that when I do my yoga!
B2BMX: Tell us about a time you took a big risk that paid off…
Didner: I worked in corporate for almost 20 years. Then, I left a well-paid job and decided to stand on my own feet. It has been 8 years. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I wrote three books: “Global Content Marketing,” “Effective Sales Enablement,” and “The Modern AI Marketer.” I have opportunities to mentor marketers and work on different projects with my clients. I learn and grow. As an instructor, I also created a framework to help other B2B marketers to excel. I love what I do, but it’s a lot of hustling. A lot of hustling, ALL THE TIME.
B2BMX: You’ll be presenting a keynote at B2BMX about current AI applications being used in B2B and much more, can you give us a sneak peek into the session?
Didner: When people think of AI, honestly, they don’t know what to think. So, I will put it in a perspective that will help all marketers understand what AI is and how they can apply AI in their jobs. So come and check it out. You won’t be disappointed, I promise!!
B2BMX: How can B2B teams leverage AI now to make an impact on marketing and sales strategies in 2023 and beyond?
Didner: AI can apply to anything you do. As a starting point, it can help you write your first draft; there are some AI writing assistant tools such as Rytr, Jasper, Quillbot, etc. If you have massive data, you can build models using AI to help you see patterns or insights that you can’t see with your own eyes. There are so many more.
Come to my keynote; I will put things in perspective and teach you how to “think” and “approach” AI. I hope to see you at #B2BMX. If you do come, please find me, and let’s connect.
See you there under the warm February Arizona sun!
