The 3% Movement is a client for whom Lynn Edwards and her team have been producing events since its founding. Dedicated to promoting diversity in the advertising industry, the first 3% Conference in 2010 took place when three percent was the percentage of women in creative director roles. By 2019, the event drew 1,300 attendees and the percentage of director-level minorities and women had reached 29%. Buoyed by this progress, they were gearing up for the biggest 3% Conference yet … when the pandemic turned the event industry upside down.

Rather than retreating, Lynn and the 3% Conference charged ahead, actually moving their event up to July from November. They saw the historic moment and knew that their event’s content matched the importance of the time. Recognizing that a virtual event would create an enormous opportunity to grow the audience base, Edwards turned to Hubb for help producing a virtual 3% Conference that would seek to smash previous attendance records. They needed a platform that was robust, reliable and ahead of the curve if they were going to pull off this short timeline.

The result, attendance for the 2020 3% Conference was 10X the record-setting mark from the year before, with 15,000 people participating in the event and a slew of new sponsors.
